Georgia Peaches Classic Sale May 28, Covington, GA
Wild Oaks Farms was a volume buyer at the Sweet Georgia Peaches Classic Sale, May 28, 2005 in Covington, GA. The depth of the cattle presented was tremendous, and we felt they were bred for added value. We were thrilled to take the following lots home to Arkansas: Lot 3 405 Little Satin - Polled. (Black Jack 21 x Satin Lady 293K19) Lot 7 PI Miss Appeal - (**Desperado x **Natural Appeal) Lot 26 41/01 Scarlet Rose (** Scarlet's Pride x Aristicow) with a black, Black Jack 21 heifer calf. Lot 30 0-050 Bama II (**Havana x Hilltop 363/4) with a red Black Jack 21 heifer that is a genetic sibling to the Queen of Hearts. Lot 17 99/2 Bonnie Blue (**Havana x Four M 200-0) The cow family goes back to **Grand Cherokee x Samantha, a Miss Sam daughter) Red Cracker Jack Bull calf at side. Lot 65 39/3 Circle C (Blizzard x **Miss Dee) Deep bodied, muscular Herd Sire Prospect Lot 66 45/3 Circle C (Blizzard x Double C 068 (Desperado daughter) Thick, well balanced Herd Sire Prospect Lot 43 Lady Sonata (Black Knight x Encore, a **Sonata daughter) was purchased from Paul Castleman after the sale, in Arkansas. Also purchased by private treaty from Terry Schell: Lot 22 4/6 Queen of Soul (Soulman x Miss Louise 6-02)polled, a fourth generation black Beefmaster Lot 15 221 Polka Dot (Black Jack 21 x Fantasy 350) bred to Soul Man. We're renamed this cow Baylee's Choice. She can be viewed under Donors. We had planned to take home the Queen of Hearts, but couldn't keep up with Jimmy Bradley! We look forward to seeing her calves in the future and know Jimmy is as thrilled as we would have been! We look forward to his sale in the fall. |
